Considered the largest manufacturer of porcelain and ceramic articles in the Americas, Oxford specializes in dining appliances, tea and coffee sets, mugs, pots, and bowls. Every year the company launches a contest for designers to create a set of products on a specific theme. The theme of the year was "Folklore around the world".
My project was inspired by the Cordel literature, popular and inexpensively printed booklets or pamphlets containing folk novels, poems, and songs from my region in Brazil. The chapbooks are usually illustrated with woodcuts, which were my inspiration for this project. To my delight, the project was ranked among the 25 finalists of the contest.
